Picture Requirements
  • Picture names can not contain any blank spaces
  • Pictures have to be in one of the following formats
    • PNG (24 bit)
    • JPG
    • GIF
  • For best performance pictures should not be larger than 500 pixels in width or height
  • Color mode must be RGB
  • PNG pictures are recommend and are required if you want to have transparent parts in the picture like transparent backgrounds for no square products

Uploading Pictures
There are basically 2 ways to upload your pictures, one at a time or in bulk

One at a time uploads
  1. Go to the Picture Manager
  2. Select the Picture Uploader Tab
  3. Click the Choose Picture button, navigate the the picture you want to upload and then OK
  4. Click the Upload Picture button
  5. The upload will start and you will get confirmation once the upload is done
  6. The picture will be added to the list of pictures in the picture manager

Bulk Uploads
  1. Go to the Picture Manager
  2. Select the Bulk Picture Uploader Tab
  3. Create a ZIP file with all your images
    1. Place all pictures you want to zip in one folder
    2. Rather than zipping a folder of images you need to zip the individual images. A zipped folder containing a folder of images or other non-image file types will be rejected and the import will fail and this is what happened in your case.
    3. The way to zip only the images on not the folder is to go into the folder with the images, select all the images and then zip the files. On a Mac in the Finder menu select File > Compress XX items.
    4. The wrong way of zipping the files is by selecting the enclosing folder of the pictures and compressing that, which will fail when you try and import it, so don't use this method
  4. After creating the zip file select the zip file by clicking on the Choose File button in the Bulk Picture Uploader Tab, then click on the Upload Zip button to start the upload.
  5. The upload will start and can take several minutes
  6. If the upload is successful the program will automatically unzip the file and import all valid image files into your Image Library.

An important note, the ZIP file has a maximum file size limit of 50MB. If you have more than 50MB to upload you will have to split the image files into a couple zip files. The best way to do this is create a couple of folders, fill the folders wth images and make sure the images are distributed across the different folders so that each folder is no more than 50MB. Then zip each folder and upload each of the resulting ZIP files.

Linking Pictures To Products
  1. If you already have picture file names entered into the picture column in your product catalog then all you have to do is make sure the file names in picture column in your product catalog match exactly (including case) to the pictures you uploaded and then they will automatically be linked.
  2. The other option if don't already have the picture file names entered into the picture column in your product catalog, you can link them by doing these steps
    1. Go to catalog manager
    2. Select any column in the product you want to link
    3. Click on the Link Picture to Product button
    4. Select the picture you want from the list of uploaded pictures shown
    5. The picture's file name will be entered and saved and the picture is then linked
